2025 Maine Outcast Campout
Join us in western Maine to fish for native brook trout alongside fishy community! We’re back in Bethel, adventuring around waters from Oxford to Rangeley
Confluence Collective at the AMC Fly Fishing Festival
Come hang out in Greenville, Maine with the Appalachian Mountain Club! Confluence Collective will be hosting clinics on both evenings during the festival, and taking small groups out fishing at some of the many surrounding waters. Be prepared to meet trout and black flies!
Registration is managed through the Appalachian Mountain Club website. If you are interested in fishing the area during this time without attending the event, please be in touch to discuss dispersed camping as lodge reservations are completely booked.

Outcast Campout Info Session: Maine 2025
Join us virtually to learn more about the 2025 season of Outcast Campout events! We’ll be focusing on the upcoming Maine Campout (June 12-15) primarily, though folks are welcome to join to learn more about events happening later in the season.

Cast N Hang with Kindling Collective
We're so excited to host another Gay Cast and Hang with Kindling Collective! We’ll gather in Portland on the prom and practice casting, learn about bugs and fish behavior, and let the curiosity lead us further.
Participants can sign up via the Kindling Collective website.
There will be snacks, seltzers, stickers, and good vibes.

In partnership with Maine Maritime Museum and Packraft Maine, we’re hosting an intro to fly fishing workshop on the Androscoggin River near Durham this July. This is the first of three workshops funded by the American Rescue Plan Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief funds received from the United States Department of Education support.

Founder Bri Dostie will be attending the Maine Outdoor Economy Summit hosted by Maine Outdoor Brands and Maine Office of Outdoor Recreation. More information on the summit can be found here.
On Thursday evening of the summit, Confluence will be hanging with Kindling Collective to host an LGBTQ+ After Hours gathering for any body who would like to connect + debrief. More information available once you’ve registered to attend the summit!

This will be an initial session in an ongoing social series to stay connected off the riverbank, examine support needs, and work collectively towards cultural shift in the fly fishing community.

Confluence Collective is collaborating with the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay to host a fly fishing workshop alongside restoration and protection practitioners.
